Overlooking the natural beauty of scenic Bilsdale our south west facing hut collects the first rays of sunlight breaking over Urra Moor & stays that way until sunset.
Built just 6 miles away in Stokesley by local carpenter, Richard Wood of Woodrose Shepherds Huts, it's completely hand crafted and brand new for 2024. From the outside it followed a traditional specification so really fits its backdrop of moorland.
Rural Perfection
Inside you’ll find more modern conveniences at your disposal; a solid oak kitchen with two gas ring burners a fridge and plenty of utensils, your own en suite shower and toilet with soft towels, our log burner which is easily lit and extremely efficient at heating our hut, so all you have to do is strike a match and enjoy your own piece of rural perfection and most importantly, a comfy, raised double bed on an oak frame with a window casting your view to the spectacular, uninterrupted and peaceful dale below made up of rolling hillside, rugged moorland and not forgetting an enormous sky.
No wonder it's protected by the internationally recognised Dark Skies Reserve.
Ideal for couples or single occupancies, the hut has everything you need for a comfortable and tranquil stay. An additional single bed can be arranged if you are travelling with your child. They will love being tucked in under the double bed in their very own secret hideaway.
It’s your choice how you spend your time here-whether you don your walking boots and take advantage of the many walks and bridle paths surrounding us in the immediate area. If you're lucky you might see some protected ground nesting birds. Even a Buzzard , Red Kite or various owls hunting, they all live very close by!
Alternatively, you can hop into your car and go further afield to North Yorkshire’s almost endless list of attractions, there really is something for everyone!

We require full payment for your stay at the time of booking.
A refund of 50% will be given if cancellation occurs 14 days or more prior to your arrival.
We charge from £90 per night including continental breakfast: cereals, bread/toast, jam, local honey, tea, coffee, orange juice
