Perfectly Located
Overlooking the natural beauty of scenic Bilsdale our south west facing shepherds hut is that perfect ‘away from it all’ place to spend a night or two. Perfectly located with stunning views over Bilsdale, it collects the first rays of sunlight breaking over Urra Moor & stays that way until sunset.
ENTERING OUR SECOND YEAR!
Opening weekend was 14th February and for this year we have improved our amenities inside the hut and are in the process of developing the landscape around the it. We plan on turning a vast space (which is accessed by Shepherds Hutters only) into a wildlife area of wild flora and fauna.
It still has its lawned area, but this year will see a firepit surrounded by enormous stone gateposts for seating, located on the optimal vantage point on the whole site! Some areas will be left to grow as Mother nature intended, attracting butterflies, bees and native birds. Currently this area has been grass seeded and is waiting for the warmer spring weather to encourage its growth. Once that has happened and has had a couple of cuts under its belt then a gravel path will be put in place and an abundance of foliage planted up.
The access point to the hut shall gradually move over to in between two dry stone walls, only further improving our guest’s privacy whilst staying with us.
We are really excited and terribly impatient to be getting on with all these mentioned items and cannot wait to welcome you all to our haven.
Wainstones Shepherds Hut is situated very close to the Cleveland Way so perfect for walkers as well as cyclists, or just lovers of the great outdoors!
